Since the inception of Positive Coaching Alliance-Houston, the Board of Directors and staff of PCA have worked diligently to transform youth sports, so sports can transform youth - Better Athletes, Better People! Over the years, the number of youth engaged in our programs in the Houston area has multiplied tenfold; from 5,000 in 2008 to more than 65,000 children annually. PCA-Houston partners with almost 300 schools and youth sports organizations. Through our Triple-Impact Competitor® Scholarship program, we have proudly awarded nearly $144,000 in scholarships to Houston-area students in the past five years.
The Triple-Impact Professional honoree is Reid Ryan, President of the Houston Astros. Mr. Ryan enters his second full season with the Astros after being named the club's President of Business Operations. Reid, 43, is one of the youngest team presidents in the game and brings enthusiasm and energy to the organization, while also providing a wealth of experience working in professional baseball.
